Is Day Care Right For Your Dog?
Daycare offers a full day of care and introduces your dog to a large group socialization. Many dogs love interaction, non stop play, and constant care and attention from the staff. However, we fully appreciate and recognize that other forms of care and stimulation are better suited for certain dogs. Come in for an assessment to see if daycare is right for your dog.
Dogs must be at least 4 months old and have received their final round of adult vaccinations. Puppies are more susceptible to contracting illnesses and parasites, so it is important for the safety and health of your dog that they meet our age and vaccination requirements. Not quite ready for play? We recommend at-home walks until your dogs meets our requirements.
Dogs must show proof of immunization for DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus and parainfluenza), Bordetella (kennel cough virus), and Rabies. Vaccinations should be given at least 72 hours prior to the assessment for full inoculation. Dogs are also required to be on an effective flea and tick treatment such as Frontline, Comfortis, or a Seresto collar.
SOCIABILITY & TEMPERAMENT
Dogs should be friendly towards both humans and other dogs. All dogs are required to undergo an assessment at The Dog Club to determine sociability and temperament. Dogs may be dismissed after the assessment if we notice changes in behavior that are unsafe for other dogs or staff. We do not discriminate by breed. We believe all dogs should have a chance at happiness.
